Qualifications can help subject to what they are and the area you would like to work in. Currently the areas include: Production Assistant: This is where you have the chance to experience a range of elements of film making, personally developing your know how and skill set, you would generally be helping with anything requested.   For the Production Assistant opportunity (PDF)   Click Here     Visuals: you may have some experience taking your own photos or video, you may be keen to have experience with professional film equipment and methods for capturing inspiring film footage.   Presenter: Introducing, engaging and inspiring the public about a subject, this person could possibly be the life and sole of the party in real life with good communication skills and the ability to engage people you can't see, warmly and sensitively.   For the future Presenter opportunity (PDF)   Click Here     Researcher: independently researching and building an outline production script for their own or others ideas. This can be a fast track to Presenting and Directing which is about delivering a quality story with good visuals within the planned run time. You may have realised we are looking for special people with natural talent. Just about everyone has some natural talent, but many haven't had the opportunity to realise it...   Within our limits we are open to helping people achieve their goals, which could be their own production ideas or working with a team to develop their skill set and know how to progress in the industry, our ears are always open.   Tasks available will vary by Production check out our Join Us webpage for current opportunities to work or gain experience with us.   Film Work   Some film work appears out of the blue and can be accommodated quickly, other film work is planed in advance weeks or some months if not a year ahead. Our work is sometimes event based so the time scale is dictated to us. Event work can occur on single or both weekend days, ideal for those who have an existing week day job.   Those that appear on screen such as Presenters are cast for their specific quality for the production. For example looking at and giving a view on women's fashion and or trying clothes to show the audience how they look, typically needs a smart women, it's a female audience being spoken to.   You've no doubt noticed there's no mention of Camera Man, in our view capturing outstanding visuals is creative work, there's a lot more to it than simply pointing a film camera (largely automatic) at a subject. Quick reactions to catch visual opportunities is important, see example further down.   Because numerous shoot days can be a one day event, we pay any confidential agreed fees on those days in cash / transfer, there's a form to sign for this. Occasional productions are for some charitable causes, involvement is voluntary for the benefit of the experience and the good cause.   Those involved on screen in productions used by Broadcasters and Distributors may benefit from subsequent showing and repeat fees subject to the contractual arrangements.   Visual Skill   A short illustration of spur of the moment visual skill, examine the following image, this is of now famous Samantha Morris' Cow Art some 10 years ago.     Spotting the opportunity the camera was lowered to get this angle, then came back to the Presenter. During editing the 2 scenes were seamlessly put together including the presenters sound track over both.
